Las Vegas Outdoor Shade & Patio

What Affects Patio Cover Cost in Las Vegas

We don't publish a price list because every cover we build is custom: projects vary in design, size and build time, and so does the price. Here's what a quote is built from, what's already included in ours, and how to get an exact number, which starts with a free site visit.

Updated October 18, 2026.

Why there's no price list

Most of our work is custom. A 4K Aluminum cover has no standard sizes or series: posts, beams and roof are mixed and matched, and every structure is designed for its own yard. That's why we quote each cover after seeing your site.

What we do instead: a free site visit, then a quote for your cover. Most Alumawood covers are quoted on the spot; custom 4K projects take a few days.

What your quote depends on

The system

  • Alumawood: embossed aluminum with a wood-grain look, in lattice, solid or insulated panels. Standard engineering covers most designs.
  • 4K Aluminum: extruded 6061-T6 aluminum, designed for each project. Nearly every 4K project gets site-specific engineering.
  • Louvered roofs: motorized blades, from 4K ATLAS or Sundance.

The roof

  • Lattice filters the sun and lets the breeze through.
  • Solid panels give full shade and keep out rain.
  • Insulated panels add a foam core for more protection from heat.
  • Louvered blades open and close.

The size and spans

Size affects the structure itself, not just the amount of roof. A few examples from 4K Aluminum:

  • 2×10 beams span up to 33 ft between posts, and lattice spans up to 20 ft without rafters.
  • Twin Wall solid panels need a center support rafter past 10 ft.
  • ATLAS louvered roofs put posts every 20 to 24 ft, with a mid beam on longer spans.

How it attaches

A cover mounts to the wall through the stucco into the studs, to the fascia (aluminum covers only, if the rafters are sound), or stands on its own posts and footings. How it attaches can change what the permit requires.

Engineering and the permit

In the City of Las Vegas, a cover built to a pre-approved design needs only a site plan and the application. Anything else needs engineered plans and a full plan review. Henderson accepts a list of standard designs; anything else needs a site-specific design sealed by a registered design professional.

What's included in our quotes

  • The permit. We pull it on every job, and its cost is already in your quote.
  • A free site visit, usually within a week of your first text or call.
  • Installation by our own crews, led by Armando Ibarra. No subcontractors.
  • A 2-year warranty on our installation labor. Materials carry each manufacturer's warranty.
  • A quote that's good for 30 days, so you have time to decide.

Comparing quotes

Many companies cut cost and time by skipping the permit and the engineering. A lower bid can leave the permit out. When you compare quotes, ask each company:

  • Is the permit included, and who pulls it?
  • Is the engineering standard or site-specific for this design?
  • Who builds it: the company's own crew, or a subcontractor?
  • How long is the price good for?

“The actual cost for engineering and permits was refreshingly reasonable because he doesn't inflate those costs.”
