Alumawood is embossed aluminum made to look like painted wood. It comes as an open lattice that filters the sun, a solid roof that keeps out rain, or an insulated panel roof, attached to your house or freestanding. Because it's aluminum with a baked-on finish, there's no staining, sealing or termite worry. It suits homeowners who want classic patio-cover style without the upkeep. Alumawood questions

Straight answers before your site visit.

It looks like painted wood but it's aluminum, so there's no staining or sealing and nothing for termites. Alumawood's baked-on finish is made to resist fading, dirt and stains.

Price depends on the size, the roof type (lattice, solid or insulated) and your site. Most Alumawood covers are quoted on the spot at your free site visit, and quotes are good for 30 days. Financing is available through Hearth.

Lattice and solid panel covers come in seven colors. Insulated panels come in white or desert sand.

Alumawood says a lattice cover can last 30 years or more with proper care. Care is simple: an occasional rinse with a hose and a soft brush.

Alumawood carries a limited lifetime warranty for the original owner, transferable once within the first 10 years. Our own installation labor is covered for 2 years.

It's best not to. The finish is baked on, and painting it in the field voids Alumawood's finish warranty.
